The recent government shutdown has caused disruptions to essential services — including SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), which helps millions of low-income families by providing food payments.
Many SNAP recipients had not receiving their regular benefits, leaving them struggling to afford groceries and basic necessities. These are families, seniors, and individuals in our own communities who suddenly find themselves without a safety net.
To help bridge this gap, we organized a drive to collect food items and unused gift cards that can be distributed to affected families. Every contribution — whether it’s a few cans of food, grocery store cards, or essentials — can make a real difference for someone facing uncertainty this week.
Our TGROC members contributed generously and received food items from 11/8/2025 thru 11/14/2025.
We delivered the food items to foodlink on 14th November, 2025 evening at 3pm.
Thank you all for your support. Together, we tried to made sure no one in our community goes hungry during this difficult time.
